Description

Every piece of jewellery from RR BRACELETS is crafted with love and attention to detail. To ensure your favourite pieces bring you joy for as long as possible and retain their appearance, they require proper care. We’ve put together a handy guide on how to look after your jewellery every day.

1. Beware of moisture and water

Water and high humidity are jewellery’s worst enemies.

Keep it away from moisture: Do not leave jewellery lying in the bathroom or other places where moisture and steam accumulate.

Take it off before going into the water: Always take your jewellery off before every shower, bath, visit to a swimming pool, hot tub or the sea. Chlorine, salt and minerals can irreversibly damage the surface and reduce its lustre.

2. Cosmetics and chemicals come second

Modern cosmetics contain substances that can react with the surface of jewellery, causing it to become dull or change colour.

Avoid direct contact: Perfumes, hairsprays, body lotions, creams and even household cleaning products should never come into direct contact with jewellery.

The golden rule: Jewellery should be the last thing you put on in the morning (only after applying perfume and make-up), and the first thing you take off in the evening.

3. Protection during exercise and rest

Mechanical stress can lead to jewellery breaking, becoming scratched or becoming misshapen.

Take it off before exercising: During training, running or any physical activity, jewellery is put under strain. Furthermore, human sweat, due to its pH composition, is not good for jewellery.

Take it off before going to bed: Whilst you sleep, jewellery can inadvertently get caught on bed linen or pyjamas, or become misshapen under the weight of your body. Allow both you and your jewellery to rest at night.

4. Proper storage is essential

When you’re not wearing your jewellery, store it in a sealed pouch or box. Air and light accelerate the natural oxidation of materials.

A safe place: When jewellery is not in use,

Separate storage: We recommend storing jewellery so that the pieces do not touch one another. This will prevent them from scratching or becoming tangled.

If you wish to clean your jewellery of everyday dust or fingerprints, simply wipe it gently with a soft, dry cloth (which should have been supplied with your jewellery). Do not use any harsh chemical cleaners unless they are specifically designed for the material in question.

Give your jewellery the care it deserves, and it will accompany you through your most beautiful moments for a very long time!
